Hi, I am Sumaiya Bartos.
I am the creator of Bartos & Co. I was born in a big city in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I moved to United States when I just turned 18 to go to college to study in Graphic Design which was eleven years ago. At first it was hard to adjust with new place and environment but I felt very comfortable really quick. My friends, professors made me so comfortable that I almost forgot I came from totally different country.
I’m a published wedding and portraits photographer based out of Becker, MN. I love creating images for people to share and treasure, and know how important your day is!
Since I was little, I always had the passion for art and that's what led me to where I am today. From my passion to having a degree of Bachelor of Fine Art, I have gained so much experience in something I love doing. I expanded my passion to a professional services where I can help people and provide the service I love. I like to create network and build relationship with my clients with best customer services.
For the love for my photography, I specialize in portraits, wedding/engagements, family and children. Although my main focuses are wedding/engagements and family, I also love doing graduations, birthdays, maternity session and more.

1. what made you decide to do photography
It all started when I took photography classes in college. For the sake of class, I went out and snapped a bunch of pictures. Editing wasn't a requirement for the class but I did it anyway. As I am taking more pictures and editing for class, I fell in love with what I was doing. It became my passion for taking pictures. In my senior year college, my fiancé encouraged me to start taking professional pictures and open up a photography business. Since then, I love doing what I do.
2. what is your favorite thing to photograph
I love doing photography for newborn all the way to Grandparents. My main focus is on Wedding, Engagement, Portraits, Family and Children. It is hard to choose my favorite because all of them are my favorite but if I have to choose a favorite, wedding would be my favorite.
3. what is your favorite thing about photography
Editing. People may say why not take pictures of the moments? Well, I love capturing moments but my favorite part is editing because you are in control of how an image will look like. You're in control of your own style that you can bring by editing. Although it takes hours and hours but at the end you decide to give the image a professional perfect look.
4. what are your hobbies (aside from photography)
I am an artist. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Besides photography, I have passion for fine arts, paintings, video making, YouTube.
5. how would you explain your editing style ?
I intend to do both light and airy and dark and moody depending on the images. If it is a day time or sunny photoshoot, I would edit light and airy style and if it is late afternoon, evening or night shoot, I will do dark and moody style. However, my preference style is light and airy because I think it expresses the images a lot better.
